Lay of the land : In the hot and dry canyons of Gutter, reside the medium sized Gutter Canyon Dragons. They make there homes in the canyon sides, ripping away and digging caves and cavers into the sides of them, making there homes in sit in the shade of the great deep chasm like land.

Body : There short forearms, and kind legs make gripping to the canyon side easy as they skitter across it. There wings thin and long, making gilding up and down on the windy drafts of the canyon easy. There horns long and winding, or short and curved, right behind there long ears, and there head-spikes running to there shoulders, and then continuing from there haunches to the tail tip. The tail can have large spikes, feathers, barbs, or spines, depending on the sex and rank.

Coloration's : The colors range from red, orange, tan, gold, yellow, brown, gray, dark gray, and black. There are a few color deformities such as gray green, gray blue, or white. Markings are usually a lighter, or darker shade of the main color of the hide.

Ranking : The leader of the small bands or packs, is usually female, so male leaders are uncommon, but not ruled out. The rankings go in this order; Leader-beta-adviser-elders-guardians-solders-nest watchers-adults-younglings-hatchlings-outcasts.

Diet : They eat whatever they can find, but like there not so close relatives, snakes, they only need to eat there fill once every three weeks or so. Hatchlings need food, every three days, to maintain proper growth paths. Younglings need food about once every week and a half, Adults need to eat once every three weeks, and Elders need food once every four weeks.

Daily life : In the early morning, most all of the dragons either ride the cool drafts, or crawl up the steep cliff side, to come and greet the sun, since the sun wont reach the canyons belly until the noon time. They warm up and clean themselves, and prepare for a good flight for a few hours, to get there blood pumping. Then, at mid morning, the nest watchers go down to the canyon floor, or a ways away from the mouth of the canyon to hunt for the newborns, while some of the younglings, or younger adults keep watch over the small, flightless babies. At noon time, the air is filled with wings and roaring, this is the main time to play or take a nice flight. At early evening, to late evening, this is the time to patrol and watch for enemy bands or packs. And at night time, most all the dragons are in there dens, caves, or holes in the cliff side, rumbling in there sleep.

Age : The average age, of an elder canyon dragon, is 90+ years, the adult is 40-60 years, younglings are 10-30 years, and under that, they are flightless, and considered hatchlings, or children. The maximum age, has been undetermined.
